OverviewConstruction on the Folsom South Canal Connection (FSCC) is progressing well as we enter summer. Construction continues on the pumping plants at the end of the Folsom South Canal in Sacramento County, and on EBMUD's property near Camanche Reservoir in San Joaquin County, including the 19 miles of pipeline that will connect the water supply to EBMUD aqueducts south of Hwy. 12 in San Joaquin County. This purpose of this page is to provide updates on road closures and detours to make your travel through the construction areas as efficient, safe and painless as possible. The inconvenience of the detours will be short term and will provide for a quicker completion of the work. As EBMUD has stated before, the pipeline is being constructed primarily on private property to keep road closures to a minimum. However, in isolated circumstances where work is close to the roadway, EBMUD must either do a partial or full road closure in the interest of safety for you, the public, and workers. Please be aware of all posted speed limits and traffic signs. Please check back here for updated information. Thank you for your patience and understanding as EBMUD continues forward with this project. Feel free to contact Gerald Schwartz, EBMUD Community Ombudsman, any time at 209-334-3048, with your questions and concerns regarding this project. You may also attend public briefings that Gerald gives at the Herald Fire Station's Community Building (Hendrickson Hall) the second Tuesday of each month during the Community Planning Advisory Committee meeting which commences at 7:30 pm. Note: Road closure and detour details are preliminary and are subject to change. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 7 am to 6 pm. Some Saturday work may take place. Construction, including partial or full road closures, will continue through May 2009. Updates will be provided as construction progresses. Liberty Rd Single Lane Traffic, Through Nov. 2008
